Meet The Team

When I was starting my business a few things that excited me was:
  1. The people I would get the honour to work with
  2. The ability to give people the opportunity to work somewhere they like + being their authentic selves
  3. And most of all inspiring them!
That for me was the goal. Being able to have a team at this point is a huge milestone for me. I had a conversation with the Alexander brothers of a Cape Contract Furniture back when I was in my early 20’s. One of them told me his perspective on being a “boss” he simply said “the responsibility for others”. He didn’t look at it as having 50 employees but as that x2 because whoever works with him has a family, minimum 2 people per household. This moved me. I knew from then I wanted to do the same. Below are majority of our team members, just missing our architectural designer (Naser) + senior design associate (Shannon). Photo above is from our photoshoot of Project Pryce. From left to right you have: Iszana (our previous intern), Nadia, myself, and Julia. Nadia Conte Meet Nadia our Decor Associate! Nadia studied at George Brown for Interior Decorating and has been with us for the past 4 years. Nadia handles our staging, painting, and decor projects. Her personality is one to never forget and she is such a creative. Nadia’s hobbies are karaoke and crafting. Iman Stewart Meet me! I’m Iman the design director at I|S INTERIORS! Over 15 years in the interior design industry in both commercial and residential spaces. I started out at a Rona in the Paint & Decor Department at 15 then moved on to Benjamin Moore as a Colour Consultant; I loved to colour match by eye. I studied at Fanshawe College for Interior Design and graduated in 2009. My hobbies include: painting my nails, exploring and art projects with my children! Julia Szabo

Meet Julia, our Intermediate Designer! Julia studied at Sheridan College for Interior Decorating and handles our renderings and project management. She has also worked on projects in Jamaica with us. Julia’s hobbies include: sneaker collecting and fitness.

Rachel Aidoo

Meet Rachel our Junior Designer! After completing a program for Business Administration and Marketing at George Brown College, Rachel earned a Diploma in Interior Decorating at Humber College and began interning before joining our team. Rachel is adventurous and has such a positive energy. Fun fact: She used to speak and write in Russian.
