How To Layout Your Living Room….
A little lesson on space planning and layouts. Ahhh the living room such an important place that plays a major role in the home ? I wanted to give a few tips on making sure it is functional. See below from an instagram post I did about a month ago:
Morning ☀️ I wanted to start off with a little inspo and a lesson on space planning, especially when designing a space with a Chaise Lounge (pronounced shez- lawng not shayze- lounge, many of us are guilty of this ?) .
1) Always put the chaise on the long side of the wall so you do not block your path of entry to outside or another room access
.
2) Have an occasional chair off to the side across from the chaise
.
3) Coffee table centered in between
.
3) Ottomans or benches for additional seating for conversation when you have guests over
.
4) Rug around perimeter of room
.
5) C – Shape side table at the end of chaise so person sitting there can place a drink (in this pic there is an extra ottoman)
.
6) Lighting! Arc lights work great over sectionals
.
7) Art and or plants to add a little va-voom .
And viola! You have the perfect space planned, acessorized, stylish living room. .

P.S. Id you want to add depth ans style to the walls do a paneling. It is very #FrenchRenaissance but just more to the space. Especially if you are trying to vear away from modern design.
