2022 Design Trends
Every year we hear designers talking about trends and see the hottest design mags publishing them. For me, I’m not really a trend/fad person as I love to stumble upon things organically evoking a certain feeling when it comes to design whether it be fashion or interiors.
When we started researching 2022 design trends, I couldn’t help but notice we were on par with these trends, call it a Designer’s Intuition, ha! From bold colours, (what we are known for) to statement sofas and zoom rooms. I would agree that some of these so-called trends should stay around a little longer. Please see below for our 2022 Design Trends.
- Bold Colours – One thing I love about our clients is they are all about their personality and culture coming out through their spaces. This is where we come in as we too love the boldness of such. Below is an image shot by Anthony Voltsinis from our Straker Project.
- Zoom Room – We are in the virtual age, welcome (some shed a tear while others rejoice, lol). Many people are creating zoom rooms for their office spaces to host meetings. In 2021, we completed some of our clients. Below we have our Dundas Project shot by Anthony Voltsinis.
- Crafts – handcrafted artisanal objects are all the rage for 2022. This is interesting as we started ID-Style with this concept in mind featuring collections from different artisans. Our latest collection is called “The International Collection” of woven baskets, mud cloths, and fans from Ghana along with handcrafted placemats and coasters from Jamaica (coming for this Spring/Summer Collection). There is so much more potential in a space when the homeowner’s personality comes out through styling with these objects. Below is from our ID-Style Launch Party last summer 2021.
